Hi! I’m Poornima D’Souza. I work as a School Home Liaison with the Sioux Falls School District. I’m a bridge between the schooland the refugee & immigrant students and their families. I absolutely love my job, as it is challenging and a new experience every day. Hi! I'm Jessica Vandrovec and I am a first grade teacher in the Sioux Falls School District. This is my 8th year teaching and First grade is my passion! I am fortunate to have such an amazing job and reminded daily how lucky I am to have the title of "teacher."
Hi! I'm Jessica Hovland and I teach first grade at Hawthorne Elementary. I have been teaching for 5 years and I absolutely love first grade. I have taught at Hawthorne for 2 years. I love teaching first grade! My husband, Erick and I have two little boys, Brek and Cade, who keep us very busy.

My name is Brenda Hill, the assistant principal and health literacy coordinator at Hawthorne. There is nothing more enriching in life than working with the students, staff, and parents at Hawthorne. I love to read, exercise, sing, and work outside. One of my life's resolves is taken from Jonathon Edwards: "To live each day as I will wish I had when I come to die." Each day working as part of the Hawthorne team helps move me in that direction.
